Mayor Bowser to Host Every Day Counts! Attendance Design Challenge

Students from Six Public Schools Will Come Together to Create Plans to Address and Solve Attendance Challenges Across the District

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Tuesday, July 25, at 10 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will participate in the Every Day Counts! Attendance Design Challenge, a day-long event where students will create viable solutions to address absenteeism in DC Public Schools (DCPS). Throughout the event, Administration officials, policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders will join students to present their ideas and solutions to members of the Every Day Counts! Taskforce.

A city-wide effort that puts students at the forefront of developing solutions, Mayor Bowser’s Every Day Counts! is an initiative to address the challenges that often prevent students from being present in school on a regular basis. To learn more about Every Day Counts!, visit attendance.dc.gov.
