Every Day Counts!
Every Day Counts! is a citywide effort initiated by Mayor Bowser to ensure every student attends school every day. Going to school every day is critical to our students realizing their hopes and dreams. Every Day Counts! will bring together the entire community to support students and families through a public awareness campaign, a Taskforce coordinating public agencies and stakeholders, and investments in data-driven strategies to increase attendance.
Did You Know...
- When students attend school regularly, they build stronger relationships with peers and caring adults - one of the biggest predictors of long-term success.
- DC Agencies coordinate many services through the 211 Warmline so families don't have to navigate solutions alone.
- Every DC student aged 5 - 21 is eligible for a Kids Ride Free card. And WMATA has other programs to assist the adults traveling with them!
